The in 1910 constructed building has been heavily bombed in 1944. It can be admired again in its original form after decade long restoration finished in 1985.

The view onto the Kleinen Kiel and the interesting architecture one shouldn't miss. By the way, the Sparkasse Kiel is the oldest Sparkasse in Schleswig-Holstein.
